Born and raised in West Amsterdam, the young Hamicha - like many of his Dutch-Moroccan peers - looked to Badr Hari as an Idol.
Hari, himself a Dutch-Moroccan born and raised in Amsterdam, is a living legend in the sport and inspired a whole generation of youngsters to follow him into the sport.
Hamicha is one of that number and, while he is not the same extrovert personality Hari is, he does share some similarities in terms of his fondness for ending fights in destructive fashion.
A man of few words, Hamicha does his talking in the ring. Often he has the last word. His first two GLORY appearances both produced stunning stoppage wins.
“I always wanted to be a sports star growing up. I always had that dream to do something in sport, ” he says. “When I started kickboxing at the age of 8, it became my life and passion.”
